At Happy Tails NKAS, we pride ourselves on our dedication to animal safety, no-fear solutions, and above all else - assuring the animals we share space with are provided every opportunity to be permanently rehomed with the right family. We make sure our furry counterparts are provided the right environment, animal specific routines, and enriching interactions and events.

The Right Environment
Happy Tails was designed and constructed with the safety and peace of mind of our boarders at its heart. Many of the adorable and loving Best Family Pet Ever's start out with challenging life situations that leave them with some emotional burdocks knotted in their soft coats and fur such as fear, anxiety, distrust - even depression. These snags often lead to a survive only mentality, or even a malaise of disinterest. With this in mind, we with Happy Tails insisted on being a place where our visitors could take their time and brush out those burs* at there own pace and get back to their rightful and natural mentality of Thrive and Check Out Everything (including the stuff over there the boxes over there, the room with all the computer people, Oh, Oh, Oh! and especially that glorious side cave what with the awesome smells and from where those delicious bone shaped snack and Sunday breakfast come. Oh man, now I want bacon with my Pedegre and eggs, " as one of our more expressive K9 campers had explained to a new arrival. Our feline companions are provided a selection among 3 spacious dormitory(colony) style rooms assuring a natural enviroment in which they can gang up on staff assuring minimal work and maximum interaction multiple times a day. We at Happy Tails understand and proactively assure socialization with people to re-introduce them to the idea of human companions so they can return or arrive in a loving home where they belong, in the largesty bed, vindow sill, or thrown. These rooms are filled with a variety of carpeted burrows, nooks, and crannies, the largest of them sporting an habitat adjacent outdoors lounge styled with Nature Nuevo furnishings of large branches, hidey-holes, and an abundance of toys. By maintaining a high level of interaction with both humans and other cats, every cat is poised to be the family favorite.
